Why a Professional Wrestling Event?

Coach Ligon coaches the Apprentice Academy Men's Wrestling team and the 2022-2023 team made it to Regionals.

Professional wrestling offers a unique blend of athleticism, drama, and storytelling that captivates audiences. 

Professional Wrestling promotes:

  • Physical Skill: Wrestlers demonstrate remarkable athleticism, performing intricate moves, acrobatics, and displays of strength.

  • Dedication, determination, and perseverance: Many wrestlers have overcome personal challenges, making their journeys relatable and motivating.

  • Community: Wrestling fosters a sense of community among fans who share a passion for the sport.

  • Cross-Cultural Participation: Professional wrestling has a global reach, transcending language and cultural barriers

The whole production takes real team work to pull it off. 

Skilled trades needed for a Pro Wrestling Event:

  • Production Crew: This includes lighting technicians, sound engineers, and video operators who handle the technical aspects of the event, such as setting up and operating audiovisual equipment, creating lighting effects, and managing the overall production.

  • Rigging Crew: Professionals skilled in rigging set up the equipment used for aerial stunts, such as harnesses and pulley systems, ensuring the safety of performers during high-flying maneuvers.

  • Electricians: Electricians are responsible for setting up power distribution, lighting, and audio equipment, ensuring that everything is wired correctly and safely.

  • Medical Personnel: Paramedics, first aid responders, and medical professionals are on-site to address any injuries or emergencies that may occur during the event.

  • Catering and Hospitality: Caterers provide food and beverages for attendees, performers, and staff, ensuring that everyone is well-fed and hydrated throughout the event.

  • Costume and Wardrobe: Seamstresses and costume designers create and maintain the elaborate costumes worn by wrestlers, ensuring they are functional, safe, and visually striking.

  • Pyrotechnics: Pyrotechnicians handle the setup and execution of pyrotechnic displays, adding excitement and spectacle to the event.

  • Transportation and Logistics: Professionals coordinate the transportation of equipment, wrestlers, and crew to and from the event venue, ensuring that everything arrives on time.
