Personalized Learning
Personalized learning is a way for teachers to customize the learning experience for each of their students according to his or her unique skills, abilities, preferences, background, and experiences.
Personalized learning is for students and parents who are looking for something other than the standard “one-size-fits-all” approach to schooling.
Mentoring
In addition to classroom instruction, teachers also mentor students during dedicated weekly one-on-one meetings. With their mentors, students set long- and short-term goals, and discuss both their academic and emotional experiences while working toward these goals.

Mentoring sessions build strong relationships between students and their mentors. Together, they celebrate successes, discuss reasons for roadblocks, and talk about areas of learning opportunity.
Career Preparation
When students graduate from Apprentice Academy, they will have a work credential in one hand, and a NC high school diploma in the other.

This helps the student who is looking, for example, to be an electrician (going into the workforce) or an electrical engineer (going onto college). As an Apprentice Academy graduate, they are well prepared in the field of their choice to face the world.
